That is well covered in many other reviews though I will say it is one of my all-time favourite musicals, great story, great cast, Mitzi Gaynor shines. Anyway, found out it does take a little while before the film starts even though music playing in the background. It spent 70 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart and was #1 for the whole of 1959. I loved this musical many years ago (even though I'm usually not a big fan of musicals) and have tried to find it streaming for free on Netflix or Amazon Prime for so long, I finally gave up and sprung for streaming it on Amazon for the paid 48-hour rental fee. Many years since I watched this movie and I loved the Blu-ray upgrade. Maybe the producers could have placed a still image or the word "Overture" on the screen, but in 1958 I think people were used to this format and wouldn't have given it a second thought.
