I went to one of the best African-American hairstylists money can by here in NYC and after months of saving list the length of my hair after a month and half or so. I always had such beautiful thick hair, I was young and had no idea how to control/style it. But hair was still nice, like a year- a year and a half later I noticed that my hair was considerably thinner than my two brothers who also had long hair. They do more harm than good.

I thought I had found the solution to having straight hair! But I definitely will take care of my natural curls when they start coming in. If I don't have hair growth in the next 3 months...I'm on to the Hair Loss Center at Mass General Hospital.

I am Indian and had thin but dense hair all over. I have been trying to reverse the effects since day 1 to no avail. It was extremely scary. I had the BB 6 years ago and didn't contribute the hair loss to the BB but to aging.
I have faith it will grow out and grow back especially because after years of previous damage it did grow back. The last one was 3 months ago. in our country there are not so many opportunities and means for treating hair loss and it seems to me that I tried them all. Amazon and head-covers unlimited are my new friends! At First I was blowout of the results but from this morning I have a swelling itchy scalp with a lot of sore on it.
He recommended Rogaine, as well, and concurred that it was the BB that was causing the hair loss after careful questioning about family history and reviewing the side effects of the medications that I've been taking for years.
