That was a shame, because up till then the conflict between the doting grandmother and new fiancée was indeed ‘gripping’; it was hard to decide which I detested more, the possessive and jealous Judi or the scheming manipulative Amber. Error rating book. Over the years I have been sadden by some of my go to authors. If you’re having mother-in-law trouble, tho’, read this book for something to feel grateful about. Most definitely one of the best psychological thrillers I have ever read. K L Slater is one terrific author. I find nobody notices a little cheat, so long as it’s just here and there.
