Sally was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Jan. 7, 1936, the daughter of Janet Fraser Lewis and Mahlon E. Lewis. Sally always stayed close to her NB roots, right to the end. At the recommendation of a friend who lived in La Cañada Flintridge, they enrolled little Tommy Horner in Tom Sawyer Camps. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. In 1967, Mike received his MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. On March 22, 1950, while La Salle was out job hunting, Sally Horner told her story to the neighbor, who let her use the phone to call her sister.
She quickly became involved with the American Camp Association and the Western Association of Independent Camps.
