Yet, Sailor is the vehicle by which and the lens through which we see all that is imperfect: reflections back his troubled, poverty-ridden childhood and his abusive, alcoholic father to his days in the pool hall and his meeting up with Sen to the key moments in the present of a key and brutal crime that fuels the fire for the story.
