I have only been three times but I live here and it's absolutely great food. It’s a small take away restaurant.
GO FISH! The tacone Is basically a...soft shell tortilla folded in to a cone. So, after much delay and reading some initially poor reviews, we decided to check the new place out . Of course there are dashers etc. Kick back with a pint of English beer, or a signature go-fish! We got the food and took it to a near by park to eat. This location is very good.
Staff responded with “well you’re entitled to your opinion”, Enjoyed the Fish and Chips - Need to take with you to Eat. The fish was not as good as thought it could be and the tacone just didn’t do it either.
Go Fish moved their operations to the 5th St Farmers Markets where we were able to get take out sushi but it just wasn't the same without the weird varieties of sushi, and amazing sides. The staff were not as they were before, not as friendly, its changed and my family and I were loyal customers because of the quality and customer service, but we will not be going back, its a real shame because it was excellent at one time, but those times have gone.More, This busy take out restaurant is our go to for fish and chips when we are in Vancouver and while it can be busy, the wait is well worth it. You're definitely going there for the food, not the service and if you're expecting some magical service then maybe you should skip it. Prices were good for what you get. This is different! Firstly the chips used to be so good and cooked fresh, today they were obviously old and probably...cooked a day before, The fish and chips were hot and tasted great. I’m soooo picky about fish. Are you sure you want to delete this question? I am surprised to hear that the service was rated as poor. We were underwhelmed with the food. cooked a day before, WOW! Featured numerous time on the “Today Show,” this cozy 40-seat restaurant offers all the British favorites. and Alison has got all of the decor just right. We enjoyed both the Halibut and Cod. The pieces were nice and big. Everything we have tried on our two visits has been delicious! Gord Martin is the person behind GF. Line-ups to give one’s orders in at the window are often long, especially on sunny days & at peak times, like lunch time & early dinner time, so if one wishes to avoid them, the mid-afternoon is the time, or when days are more rain-filled & glum.
